The main genres Rodolfo has published are anthropology, sustainability, and social sciences, but he is in the process of diversifying his writing activities. Much of his early work as an author was on topics related to international development and environmental conservation, particularly in the Peruvian rainforest, where he conducted ethnographic studies among indigenous groups such as the Wachiperi, Nahua, Awajún and Quechua-Lamista. Later on, his interests spread to issues such as involuntary resettlement, cultural identity, socioeconomic development, judo, and other works of nonfiction.
